DYW Roadshow

Following on from the success of previous years’ Jobs Roadshow’s DYW Edinburgh, Midlothian and East Lothian decided to reimagine how we could bring together employers, further education, higher education, and training providers with the young people in our region to help them find their next step.

DYW Roadshow took place on Thursday 16th June 2022, from 9am-6pm. The event featured 59 organisations from across the region and welcomed just under 500 young people.
 
95% of exhibitors surveyed said they would participate in similar events in the future and 100% of educators surveyed would recommend DYW Roadshow!
 
Young People were asked to give one word to describe their DYW Roadshow experience, they said:

100% of young people surveyed left feeling more informed about pathways and 97% left feeling more inspired to consider jobs/sectors they hadn’t before.

From our exhibitor feedback it was clear they all enjoyed having the opportunity to speak directly to young people and getting the chance to promote their organisation and opportunities.
 
Overall the event was a great success in a fantastic venue with a great variety of exhibitors. We will be running DYW Roadshow again for winter leavers, keep your eyes on our website and social media channels for more information.
