Our 2019 Regional Conference, hosted on 22nd May 2019 at the Edinburgh Corn Exchange, will bring together young people, educators and industry to explore the meaning of work readiness, what is involved and how we can all work together to make a difference for the young people in our region.
This year for the month of May, teachers and careers advisers from across Edinburgh, Midlothian & East Lothian will have the opportunity to spend a day in industry. This day will provide educators with the chance to discover more about different industry sectors, the types of roles available and the pathways into these jobs.
Jobs Kingdom Live is an inspiring and interactive event for all the P5 pupils (8-10yrs) in East Lothian. This fantastic event will give pupils an opportunity to experience lots of different jobs in a variety of sectors through fun, interactive workshop sessions.
Edinburgh College, Skills Development Scotland and Developing the Young Workforce are co-hosting an information evening for parents of pupils from Schools in Edinburgh, East and Mid Lothian. This event will provide all the information you need to know about the new types of Apprenticeships and career pathways.
