This quarter’s young person spotlight is on pupils from Pilrig Park. These young people are showcasing the fantastic work experience placements that they have participated in over the last few months and talking about how important it has been for them to understand what the world of work looks like.
This quarter we feature one of our employer partners, Baillie Gifford and the work they are involved in to diversify their workforce and attract more young people into the industry.
For our spotlight in education we focus on and officially launch the great work of Louise Carroll, Ross High School East Lothian and Emma Whittingham, Lasswade High School, Midlothian; on creating our regional Curriculum Posters. Alongside this we highlight a fantastic tool which supports schools in getting the best employer engagement for young people.
Young people in Midlothian, their parents and teachers are invited to an event to find out more about the different opportunities in the construction and engineering industry.
