This May marked the unveiling of a brand new event for young people in our region; Jobs Kingdom Live’. The first event of its kind in Scotland, Jobs Kingdom Live gave all P5 students in East Lothian the opportunity to try out different jobs and learn new skills across many sectors, so that children can consider their future career path earlier in the academic journey. The children also received Jobs Kingdom Live ‘money’ for their work which they exchanged for a goodie bag.

When we think of Canon we think of cameras right? Well, Canon UK have been working with DYW Edinburgh, Midlothian and East Lothian and our thoughts have broadened to think of employability, skills and investment in young people.
The Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework Partnership (SCQFP) has launched a campaign to encourage employers and HR departments to use SCQF levels in recruitment processes.
