A national equalities campaign aimed at employers, parents and young people, #ajobforeverybody intends to promote, illustrate and celebrate diversity and inclusion in the workplace.

During the campaign we use #ajobforeverybody to share stories and experiences which prove that everyone can contribute and be of benefit to employers. We also use the hashtag #myskillsmakeme for people to use along with our template to highlight their skills and encourages them to think aspirationally about their career pathways.

By looking beyond the barrier or condition we want to show young people and individuals that by working on their skills, attitude and approach to life they have it within their control to affect their outcome and we want employers to see the emerging talent of our young people based on the skills they are developing.

Keen to get involved? We would love to hear your story, email dyw@edinburghchamber.co.uk to get involved in the next #ajobforeverybody campaign.

#NoWrongPath is a social media movement which aims to provide inspiration and reassurance to young people receiving their exam results.

We recognise that some young people may be disheartened by their exam results, so each year we aim to demonstrate to young people that many people in interesting job roles across Scotland may not have taken a straight, obvious or traditional path to get there and to show young people the options that are available to them and that exam results are not necessarily the key to unlocking future success.

Keen to get involved? We would love to hear your #NoWrongPath journey, email dyw@edinburghchamber.co.uk to get involved in the next #NoWrongPath campaign.

Scottish Apprenticeship Week

Scottish Apprenticeship Week celebrates the value apprenticeships bring to individuals, businesses and the wider economy.
Scottish Government has put youth employment, skills and apprenticeships at the heart of economic recovery. The campaign will recognise the strength and resilience in the Scottish work-based learning system, and the achievements of apprentices and their employers in these challenging times.

More information on how to get involved in #ScotAppWeek21 will be available soon here.
