Developing the Young Workforce (DYW), Scotland’s Youth Employment Strategy; asks business to be more involved in informing, inspiring and hiring youth talent. Educators and businesses working together as co-investors to create a skilled workforce for Scotland’s future.

Companies in Edinburgh, Midlothian and East Lothian who are bringing the world of work to life for young people in the classroom are already benefiting from discovering bright young talent right on their doorstep. Just one interaction can have an immense impact on businesses and young people alike. However, for Developing the Young Workforce to achieve its full potential in our region, we need to give every business in the area the opportunity to engage with education to inform, inspire and hire our local young people. That’s why the DYW Team aim to make the process as simple as possible, connecting businesses with education for the benefit of all involved.
